rails is level-independent: which rails the tier earns on, the stored member types behind each (send_money folds fiat_outgoing + crypto_outgoing), and their unboosted base_points_per_dollar. A rail the tier never earns on is null — the locked-rail signal. A member that earns nothing while a sibling does is listed with a null rate inside the array.
Each offer’s pricing maps rails to what that booster level earns and costs on this tier: points_per_dollar (boosted, three decimals), fee_within_allowance and fee_overage (fractions of the transaction amount, not percentages). fee_within_allowance is null when the tier prices one standard rate with no band distinction — render one fee column. points_per_dollar is null when the rail’s members are priced apart: varies is true and by_type carries each member’s own three figures — render one row per member, never a blended rate. Fees fold to the highest member rate. A rail the tier prices nothing for at a level is null; an offer with both pricing rails null is not purchasable on this tier.
Every number serializes as a decimal string. The monthly allowance itself is not here — read it from the cap-usage endpoint.

What this booster level earns and costs per rail on the organization’s tier. A rail the tier prices nothing for at this level is null; both rails null means the level is not purchasable on this tier.
object
object
One entry per member when varies is true; null otherwise.
object
Additive fee past the allowance (or the standard rate), as a fraction.
Additive fee on the allowance-covered slice, as a fraction of the transaction amount (“0.0225” is 2.25%). “0” is free; null means the tier prices one standard rate with no band distinction — render a single fee column.
Boosted points per USD, three decimals. Null when the rail’s members are priced apart — render one row per by_type entry, never a blended rate.

Error response. error.type is the machine-readable code — branch on it, never on error.message or the HTTP status. error.message is display-grade prose safe to render to a user; when a failure has no specific copy it falls back to a generic sentence, so it never carries a machine code. Unrecognised failures collapse to the generic unprocessable_entity code, so treat type as an open enum: match the codes you handle and fall through to a default branch for the rest.

3-digit number-matching code. This response is the ORIGINATING surface: display the code; a user approving from the Ele mobile app is asked to enter it. Null only for challenges minted before match codes existed.
Available verification methods
The step-up authentication this challenge was minted from — a DIFFERENT id from id (the sudo session). completeStepUp takes id as sudo_session_id; requestStepUpFallback takes this one.
